Winter is here

Last year while visiting my Mom and Dad, my mother wanted me to bring home several pots of Easter Lilies. She has purchased them on sale and did not care to plant them and asked me to take them home. I must admit that I simply dug holes in the ground at the edge of the wooded area near the back of our home and covered them with the dirt. Within a week, they withered and died. I thought they we completely dead. That was in the spring of last year. This spring they came up and had spread. They looked very healthy and sturdy. I was surprised to see them come up so very well. Yesterday after a good rain, the first of the blooms opened. Today several of the blooms opened up. I took these photos of them I am still amazed that without any special care at all, they have thrived as they have. They are beautiful flowers.
For many years now, I have surfed, and surfed....and surfed the web. (I honestly am very weary of the term "surf" when it comes to the web, surfing goes with the ocean not electrons). Occasionally, I find something mildly interesting and I take note of it, but I have a rather short attention span when it comes to the web, like most of us. However, I ran across a relatively new web site that captured my attention.
PictoryMag.com is a unique site that does not take long (back to the short attention span deal) to check out. Here are the finer points that I like:There you have it. So, take just a little time and check it out, I highly recommend it.
